My Wife and I had expierence a trip to Hedonism 2 which we strongley recommended but wanted to try a resort in Cancun and Desire was offering a special so we said "Why Not." The air time from Maine to Cancun was about the same as going to Jamaica, but the ride to the resort was only 15 minutes vs 2 hours that we had in Jamaica.
"On our arrival to Desire Resort & Spa"We were greeted at check in with wet face towels and champaign and check in was a breeze. We had picked a Garden View Room, the cheapest and found the room a little nicer than Hedo 2. The Desire is half the size as Hedo 2 with a fantastic beach that is open to the public, but nudity is allowed. The grounds had lush mature landscaping with a crockerdile in the pond as you enter the resort.
We decided to head for the large pool area overlooking the beach and quickly made friends with the other couples from USA & Canada. Just Like Hedo 2 we found the couples were friendly and easly struck up conversations with them. We had been to other resorts where no one wanted to talk with you and at times found it uncomfortable. There was the Desire Activities staff getting everyone involved in adult pool games. I had never done water areobics like that before.
"Desire Theme Nights are Awesome"Desire Resort has theme nights every night and the couples wear their best sexy club wear like you see at Wicked Temptations Which is very entertaining if you are a people watcher. The resorts has two formal restaurants and buffet and I found the food excellent and our waiter was a comic.
We met some of the bartenders that wanted to share pictures of their family with us and it didn't take them long to remember our names.
The Disco was the main source of nightly entertainment where everyone showed of their theme night club wear Here the people were the entertainment. Caution. You may see things you can't show & tell the family back home.
Just like the Hedo Vacation, I had forgot all my daily problems and found that both of these resorts offer a great romantic getaway that allows you to reconnect with your spouse.
I strongley recommend Desire Resort & Spa on your must vacation.
