I applaud you for even thinking about working from home. In todays economy , I here plenty of people complaining about their job opportunities, salaries have been cut, jobs have been lost, houses have been lost and here in the US people are wondering what the president is going to do to help them. This is my message. Grow Up! Your future is up to you. It's about your dream, motivation and desire. . If it's going to be it's up to me! So take charge of your life and stimulate the economy yourself and start a business from home. No one else will ever have control of your life again.
"Working at a job away from home"When you work away from home, you receive feedback from your accomplishment from your co-workers and boss. When you arrive home your work is done and home is your time off. We have time lines and schedules to meet and are able to get things done.
"There are two problems working from home"I have seen two things happen with people who work from home with no bounderies set. They do not get anything done because they procastinate and find self descipline difficult or they work all the time and have no home life. The key is to learn how to balance this act. There are ways to place structure upon yourself in your home office so you will reach your goals. Some people however work at their desk from the time they get up until they go to bed and only take time out for food and restroom breaks. The problem with this is you can loose focus and prevent stimulaiting ideas for your business.
Your choice to work from home in your own home based travel business will enhance you lifestyle. You will not have to commute to work. You can start work and stop at any time of your day. If you want to work weekends or not. You can make choices of what projects you want to work on. You probably did not vision yourself at your desk for 18 hour days. Human nature has shown that we are all different procrastinaters, workaholics, and some have no problmes balancing their business) so I have enclosed some pointers to help balance your life.
The Work Place. Where ever you decide your home office is going to be, you must also decide this is the only place to work. This is a place where you can focus. This way you will not think of your entire house as a work place.
Schedule In your home based travel business, plan your work week by setting a work schedule and stick to it. For an example: If you decide to work from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. make sure your work is done at 3:00 p.m. Once you set your routine for the best time to get your emails and communicate. I perfer the morning when I'm fresh. Set aside time to keeping yourself informed by reading, research and training. This should help you become more disciplined. By stopping at the end of your work time, you should be able to enjoy your free and family time.
Reward yourself Once your daily task are complete, reward yourself bu enjoying time with your pet, watching television, a movie, exercise or your hobbies. These activities help you shut down your work mind and enjoy some quality time you have earned. This will also help you become metally refreshed.
Vacation You need to set your work goals in your schedule. Such as I will earn $------- in 90 days. Once you reach your goal, yes you deserve a vaction. An If you are a travel professional, you can loose track planning everyone else's vaction and forget yours. It a challenge to turn off your business while working at home. You may feel that if I'm not working there is no money comming in, so I can't take time to stop. In my home based travel business everything can be done by computer and a cell phone. So I can conduct business anytime and anywhere. However, I still stick to a schedule. Remember to always take your spouse out on weekly dates. They sometimes feel left out when you are so focus driven.
