I have seen many people fail in business by complicating things. I certainly understand how people fall into this trap. with all the technology that is out there. People want information quickly and get caught up in searching for too much information that they never get around doing anything. They keep on searching for new technology and information on how to work from home.

Every time you see these people they found a new system that is awesome, but they never make any money. They just keep searching for the perfect system.

If you want to see your business take off there are three keys you need to develop.

1. Manage Activity

To be a success you must take action. You can't sit at a desk all day and analyze what's wrong with your business and you will never generate an income.

I use to sell insurance part time and wanted to make 1,000 a month part time. I knew I had to make four sales a month. To get the four sales, I had to give eight presentations that month. To get the 8 presentations, I would schedule 16 for the month. I knew I had to set up 4 presentations a week to make $1,000 a month part time.

When starting an online business, you need to develop your web site. Answer and send e-mails. Return phone calls from prospect who contacted you. Keep up on current travel trends. Manage your free traffic to your site.

2. Create little success

Break down your goals into yearly, monthly, weekly parts. Even if you do one positive action step at reaching your goal a day gives you a real confidence booster.

3. Don't get bogged down in paperwork.

Nothing will get you into more trouble in your business than taking your eye of the ball. I have seen too many people get bogged down with filling out applications, sales forms, sales literature and do not spend the time managing activity that makes them money.
