How we became an online travel agent.

Hi, we are Kathy and Bill Lawrence and live in the Great State of Maine, USA. We both have great jobs serving the public and love what we do. We found that we had a problem. There was no money at the end of the week after we paid the bills. Our jobs just allowed us to get by and there was no money left for the extras, such as going out to eat, see a movie or travel.

My Goal was Set. I wanted to create my own online business that I could be passionate about and have complete control over my future.

But I had very little money and wanted to start risk free. But I had a BIG DREAM.

A couple of years ago I worked a lot of overtime and saved so we could go to an all inclusive resort in Jamaica. We talked with several couples and shared what we paid for our trips. I didn't share much because we paid as much as $1,000 more than everyone else because we used our local travel agent. The other couples had book there vacation online. My wife said she did not trust giving personal information online and likes our local travel agent. I said what if we could save that much money. We could afford to go every year. I got her attention.

We love to travel and I thought this could be the perfect online business for us by becoming an online travel agent.

A few months later I had a job interview (serving the public) in the Miami area and decide to book my flight, car and hotel on line. My wife said "what if they don't have your seat available on the flight, your car at the car rental and hotel room?" I said I'll take that chance because I saved a few hundred dollars by booking online. So what happened? The airline had my seat, my car was waiting for me and the hotel had my room. Good bye to store front travel agent.

You just never know how fait works but a few months later Bob, a retired police officer approached me and said. "Do you still like to travel?" I said "Who doesn't?" I knew Bob owns two houses with one in Maine and the other in Florida and travel back and forth. I told Bob that I hoped I could retire some day and be able to afford to travel like him. Bob said "Would you be interested if I showed you how I travel at whole sale prices, get paid and claim the trip on your taxes by becoming an online travel agent." I said "Show Me!"
