The Power of Dreaming

The power of dreaming is a key to your success or failure. I recently saw a television program with First Lady, Michelle Obama was at a Washington DC School where she told the children at the school "You can be whatever you want in this great country."

I remember in my school days the teacher would go around the class and ask what we wanted to be when we grew up. I remember my classmates saying they wanted to be astronauts, president of the US, pro baseball player, teachers, doctors etc. I remember what it was like to dream about the future and I use to get excited. I wanted to play football for Notre Dame then go onto the NFL. My second choice was to become a police Officer.

The Death of Dreaming. Then what happens when you grow up? You get kicked around! Someone tells you are not good enough. You not smart enough to get into Notre Dame, You are too small to play college ball etc.

You put your faith into you company where you work and believe those who work hard and play by the rules will succeed and be allow to climb the ladder.

You get married and have children and the responsibilities become enormous. You've change jobs three or four times to keep getting slapped in the face. Then one day you wake up and think life has passed you buy. You have been dealt a bad hand. Why are some people so lucky and I'm not? Why do I have to deal with so many problems and others do not. I guess I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth.

I developed an attitude of just taking it because there is nothing you can do! Accept It! I once wanted to conquer the world and make my place but gave up.

Is there any good news? Yes! You don't have to take it anymore. You can change your life anytime you want. Never let anyone tell you "You can't do it!" I believe the people in America have gotten off on the wrong track over the past 35 years or so. We have lost our belief in America as the land of opportunity. Look at the news, unemployment, bankruptcies, foreclosures, homeless, doom and gloom. I guess I'll just do nothing and take it!

The Power of Believing The First step: Start believing in yourself. You need to understand how powerful this is. You've got to get that child like dreaming back again. You've got to see yourself as being special and winning again. You've got to see yourself doing something special again in your life.

I believe life will give you'll accept. If you accept financial problems. You'll have them. If you accept being unhappy. You'll be unhappy. If you accept being average and ordinary. You will be average and ordinary. If you decide not to accept these things. You can have anything you want. If you demand success. It will happen!

Life will turn out the way you see it turning out. If you see doom and gloom in your life. This is what will happen to you. You must demand to see happiness, success and fulfillment in your life.

You've got to learn how to go out and compete again. Successful people have the same problems that unsuccessful people have. The difference is the strong desire to succeed and never quit. Look at the story of Abraham Lincoln.

You can change! It's not too late! You can get back in to the game at anytime. You have to recognize the power of believing in yourself and your God-given potential.

Failure messages will hit you from every direction. They come from family, friends, and co-workers. You've got to be tough and ready for them.

You will only have one life on this earth and it goes by like a flicker. What going to happen with yours? Which America are you going to choose? The Gloom and Doom or the America that sees this country as the land of opportunity.
