Sandals St Lucia

My husband and I (Carolyn) spent a week at one of the Sandals resorts in St Lucia for our honeymoon. Although it was a bit of a trek for us to get there from the United States, it was worth it. We were greeted with champagne in a beautiful flower an fauna filled lobby that overlooked the ocean and pool. We later learned just how many other honeymoon couples were there at the time, but it did not detract from our experience. We were brought to our room that open up onto the pool deck. The room was comfortable and decorated with an island flair. The pool was large with a waterfall and swim up bar. The beach was just past a sea wall next to the pool and it had a beautifully soft, white sand beach and the water was the temperature of bath water! There were many different restaurants from casual to dressy. The food was consistently good and the service was excellent. One of the perks of staying there was not having to worry about carrying money. The breakfast buffet was filled with local tropical fruits and cuisine which was excellent. The only aspect that may have not been up to the same level of performance was the bar drinks, they were a bit watered down. Had we not taken advantage of some of the extra activities, we would have gone a bit stir crazy just staying at the resort. However, we went on a boat ride to the other side of the island. We went snorkling. We took a four wheel drive adventure to a secluded beach on the other side of the island. It was a nice opportunity to see the entire island and some of the native population. All in all, we had a lovely time. It was a beautiful resort that offered something for everyone.
