Stuff stolen from cabin., got insurance, but carnival red tape turning this into a circus.

My roommate and I went on a Carnival cruise last weekend, we left saying we had a great time and it was well worth it—we got a great last minute deal.
But as we unpacked our stuff we both noticed something upsetting, ‘both’ of our ipods were missing, we remember using/seeing them the night before the last dinner in our rooms, but both are missing. My roommate’s cell phone charger and ipod charger was also gone. (they spared my ipod charger, I guess they only needed one for both our ipods).
I also couldn’t find a pair of sunglasses one day, but I had assumed I lost it, not stolen, now I don’t know.
Also missing a back up cell phone of my mine that still had all my friends numbers in it. (also so sweet that they let me keep my new one)
Nicest cleaning crooks ever!
2 ipods, 1 charger, 1 pair of glasses 1 cell phone, 1 cell charger.
This no longer seems like such a great deal.
I’d like to tell you the carnival staff is making this right, but we’re getting the run around, they said we had to report stolen stuff while on the ship, I guess they expect instead of us enjoying our last night we should have taken inventory of what stuff we still had. We just didn’t even think this could happen. The room was always locked, we were the only two people in there aside from cleaning staff. It’s very upsetting. I’ll report back if they final return our calls/e mails/letters.
