The Philippines
The Philippines My favorite travel destination would have to be the Philippines. I was about three years old when I had my first visit and all I could remember even at the age of three was the beautiful scenery. On my second visit I was eighteen years of age and was able to remember my experiences more vividly. At first, it was a major culture shock. I was a foreigner ill-equipped with the diverse languages of the country. It took some time for me to get use to the basic sentences and greetings and almost became second nature eventually. Being of Filipino decent, it felt like my second home. Most of my family members still live in the Philippines. I had the opportunity and advantage to witness the Filipino culture in a different perspective compared to tourists. I was able to travel to discrete locations like hidden beaches and small lakes that were amazing. A scheduled trip to what they call "Hundred Islands" was one of my memorable moments. The vast white sands and clear waters were to die for. I know for sure I would be taking another trip in the future, but next time inviting a couple of my friends so they could experience a thrilling adventure.
