Traveling With Children: Travel Games for Children

Air Travel with Children

Traveling with children can be a challenge especially air travel with children. Learn some travel games for children and with some information and planning you trip will be enjoyable.

Explain to your children the security process to your children so they won't be scared when you arrive at the security check point.

Bring a photo ID.

Don't bring toys that could be mistaken as a weapon.

Bring finger food such as pretzels and cereal in a zip lock bag for snacks. A lot of children do not like airline food. Use sippy cubs and pacifiers to help ease inner ear pressure. Use chewing gum for the older children.

Bring a bag of ticks that can include white stationary paper and water color pencils for drawings. Baby wipes are an excellent remover. DVD, Books on tape and other travel games help keep the children occupied especially at long layovers at airports.

Scrap booking using your ticket stubs, travel brochures, pictures and drawings are fun activities that creates memories for years to come.

Avoid peak travel times by booking late at night Monday through Wednesday which will allow extra seats for your children to stretch out in.

When traveling out of country (especially Mexico) bring the appropriate documentation with medical release forms if not accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. If one parent is deceased, you will need a death certificate for that parent.

When packing for kids, be organized by using one gallon-size plastic bags and put one day's change of clothes with their names on them. Just reach in the suit case and pull out the bag.

Arrive at the airport early because it's hard to run through the terminal with a baby pack on your back while holding a small child's hand.

Don't forget the disinfecting handy wipes to keep everyone healthy.

I hope these traveling with children travel tips will make your trip more enjoyable.
