I decided to join twitter to find out what this social networking was all about and how it could help increase my business. I found out the Twitter has become the fastest way to communicate information to a large audience worldwide and best of all it's free.
When I first joined and learned how to twitter, I thought, how dumb and a waste of time this is, I would write catch phrases of 140 characters that are called tweets. I read other people tweet such as I'm cooking dinner now. "Who Cares?" What is this thing?
Once I thought about it I realized how much I like to keep things simple. The idea of sending a 140 charaters message was awesome.
I kept building up followers until I reached 4000. I decided to leave copywriting catch phrases they would create interest to click onto my website for further information. I always mix up leaving message of value and newsworthy with those that will direct my followers to my website. For an example. Current 65% off at Sandals Resorts with my link attached. My next message might be just finished building a webpage and need a break and no link.
"I used headlines (tweets) that would add value to encourage a click"I made sure I added valued to my tweets and just not pitching a sale.
Please don't spam. People will not follow spammers.
"My traffic grew by 50%"My traffic grew by 50% by tweeting three to six times a day. I noticed once my website traffic grew from twitter, my Google search traffic increased also. The search engines take notice and watch human behavior.
Just imagine what 10,000 to 20,000 followers would add to your free traffic stats. There just might be something to this.
There are twitter tools to automate most processes on twitter. These tools can take some time to set up, but could reduce your time to several minutes a day.
"Twitter allowed me to get my message out to a broader audience"I have found twitter has allowed me to become more visible to a broader audience and allowed me to get to know other interesting people.
Every tweet you send you can expect about 2% response to increase traffic to your site. So if you have 100 followers you can expect 2 visits.
